Rush Bowls Colorado franchise taps Gulch for first local eatery

The Colorado-based parent company of fast-casual restaurant Rush Bowls will open this summer in The Gulch its first eatery outside the Centennial State.In a release, Rush Bowl announced franchisees Jason Wilkins and Erin Wilkins have committed to opening three Rush Bowls stores during "the next few years."The Gulch restaurant is slated to operate in the recently opened mixed-use building located at 1201 Demonbruen St. (variously called 1201 Demonbreun and the CapStar Building). The eatery will face 12th Avenue and be positioned next to Del Frisco's Grille.Nashville-based Eakin Partners developed and owns the building.Founded in 2004 in Boulder, Rush Bowl bills itself as a fast-casual restaurant that specializes in healthy, all-natural, fruit-blended meals-in-a-bowl.

There is a Rush Bowls in Boulder and in Denver."This is a big milestone for the company and a true testament to the brand's appeal," Rush Bowls founder Andrew Pudalov said in the release. "To expand beyond Colorado is a major step for us, and we could not have found better franchise partners to promote our mission and to establish Rush Bowls as the premier destination for grab-and-go meals in Nashville."The Wilkinses are health care industry executives with a combined 42 years within the sector. Jason Wilkins, who has worked for Johnson & Johnson, Accenture and Healthways, will manage day-to-day operations of the three area Rush Bowls stores once they are operational."We are truly honored to be Rush Bowls' first franchisee and extremely excited to introduce the brand to the thriving Nashville community," Jason Wilkins said. Customers can choose from more than 20 bowls or all-natural smoothies made with fruit, yogurt or acai.The bowls are available in vegan, gluten-free, soy-free and dairy free options. Custom-made options also are available. Bowl and smoothie item prices range from $7.15 to $8.50.
