Ruth's Chris Steak House of Grand Rapids wins top franchise award

Ruth's Chris Steak House Grand Rapids, located inside the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, has been awarded the "2016 Franchise Leadership Team of the Year" Award. The chain, which operates 150 company-owned and franchisee-owned restaurants around the world, recognized the Grand Rapids restaurant based on revenue, number of guest covers, service scores and brand standards, according to a March 27 news release.

"This year marks our sixth year in Grand Rapids and we are pleased to be recognized with this elite award for operational excellence," said Becky Oldani, general manager of Ruth's Chris Steak House, Grand Rapids.

"Executive Chef Jeffrey Barnum and the entire Grand Rapids team have done an outstanding job and continue to provide our guests with exceptional service and the finest cuisine." Originating in New Orleans in 1965, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse is best known for its New Orleans-inspired menu of appetizers, prime steaks, fresh seafood and classic desserts,.

Located at street level inside the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, the local Ruth's Chris outlet seats 200 within the bar, open dining room, three private rooms and the Captain's Table, an intimate group space in the dining room.

The Ruth's Chris franchise arrived in 2011, replacing the 1913 Room, a fine dining restaurant operated by the hotel for 30 years.
