The Birmingham-based home cleaning service will open new locations in Tuscaloosa, as well as Jacksonville and Tallahassee in Florida; Dallas and Fort Worth in Texas; Suwanee and Alpharetta, Ga.; Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Co-Owner David Luke, who leads the company along with Ron Holt, says their goal for the next five years is to open 100 franchises across the U.S. Two Maids currently serves 15 markets in seven states.
The company recently earned a spot on the Inc. 5000 list of the nation's fastest growing businesses. It's also one of the fastest-growing businesses in Birmingham.
Luke said the average Two Maids & A Mop franchise does about $425,000 per year in sales, which he said is considerably more than some similar franchises. The franchise cost can range from $40,000 to $120,000, depending on the size of the region.
The company recently inked a deal with former Alabama quarterback Jay Barker to help promote its franchising options as part of its growth strategy.
Luke said the company's focus on tech has played heavily into its growth. Two Maids & A Mop has an app in the works that will allow users to schedule services, leave reviews, and view pricing. The company also focuses heavily on search engine optimization.
"What we"ve done is brought innovation to a market that didn"t have it before," Luke said, "We say we"re a tech company that happens to clean houses."
