A Chronic Tacos franchise is set to open on Peoria Avenue, just north of Metrocenter in Phoenix. Erin McKinley and Brad Hagen bought the franchise. McKinley has a background in real estate investment and Hagen is a U.S. Navy veteran who spent the past eight years working for AT&T.
The restaurant chain has a number of locations in California, one in Las Vegas and three in British Columbia. This will be the first in Arizona, but the company is looking to add up to 14 more franchisees in the state. It is also expanding in to Colorado, Washington and North Carolina.
Chronic Tacos offers a variety of Mexican dishes. The company boasts that its ingredients are local and fresh. The layout of the restaurant is supposed to encourage interaction between customers and employees.
"We are confident that Brad and Erin's passion for the brand will spread enthusiasm and create loyal Chronic Tacos fans in Phoenix," said Michael Mohammed, CEO of Chronic Tacos. "Arizona is a pivotal next step in our national growth initiative, and we can't wait to watch the duo thrive and eventually expand their presence in the market."
