Domino's Pizza in the New River Valley area raises more than $18,000 for St. Jude's

Saturday, January 10, 2015

New River Valley Pizza, doing business as Domino's Pizza, kicked off the annual St. Jude Children's Hospital Fundraiser in early November.

All nine locations in the New River Valley, Roanoke and Princeton, West Virginia, and 250 employees raised $18,825 over the past two months for children battling cancer.

The Domino's Pizza brand exceeded the goal this year by 21 percent, raising a total of $5.19 million for St. Jude, which will help build the Domino's Pizza Hospitality Center at St. Jude Hospital.

Owners Kevin and Allison Shaw wish to thank the community for their tremendous support of this fundraiser. Children in need are a big focus for this family franchise as the Shaws have a blended family of seven children.

New River Valley Pizza also supports Children's Miracle Network, Coats for Kids, Montgomery County Public Schools, the Challenger Baseball Clinic for children with physical and mental challenges, NRV Community Services, Intellectual Disabilities Agency of the NRV, Special Olympics, Down Syndrome Society and Feeding America Southwest Virginia.
