It's part of an aggressive nationwide expansion plan by the company that now has 14 stores open across the country in locations ranging from Florida to California to Texas.
Vapor stores offer electronic cigarettes or battery-powered products that contain nicotine but are often billed as less harmful than traditional tobacco products.
"The Triad area is very attractive to us just because of its tobacco roots," said Chip Paul, who co-founded Palm Beach Vapors in 2013. "That's an area that we really want to hone in on." Palm Beach Vapors franchise locations are typically about 1,200 square feet and located in strip shopping centers, Paul said. Franchise owners can get started with an investment of less than $75,000 that will provide them with a complete turnkey store including signs, furniture and fixtures, a point-of-sale system and opening inventory of vapor products.
According to the company's website, the franchisee fee is $20,000 and there are additional funds needed for working capital, lease deposit, first month's rent, utility deposits and city and state business license fees.
Paul said the company is starting heavy marketing within the next couple of weeks to generate interest in the Triad.
"We intend to be the Starbucks of this industry," he said.
