Farmington's Great Harvest Bread Company earned a national award during its company's recent annual convention in Florida.
The bakery won the Top Sales Growth Award and placed among the top 10 bakeries for sales growth in the country, according to a press release.
There are nearly 240 Great Harvest Bread Company bakeries throughout the country, and all the bakeries are independently owned. The Farmington bakery is located at 4009 E. Main St.
"We are honored to win this award, which represents the hard work and teamwork of everyone who works in our bakery," said Kim Bel, the owner of the Farmington bakery, in a press release. "We have enjoyed our work in a city we dearly love, and are thankful for the community support. That's what drives us "" our craft, our customers and being connected to the Farmington community."
In 2012, the Farmington store won Top Sales for a New Store honors.
"This past year, their sales were compared with all Great Harvest bakeries, and they came out on top. It felt great to recognize them for their skill in crafting a superior product and their ability to make solid connections with their community," said Mike Ferretti, president of Great Harvest Franchising, Inc., in prepared remarks.
