Alliance Cost Containment Merges Largest Franchise

Louisville-based Alliance Cost Containment, a company that helps mid-sized, privately held companies and nonprofits reduce their operating expenses, has merged with the largest of its 24 franchises, Louisville-based The Cost Reduction Group.

The parent company made the move, which was completed earlier this month, in part to better manage sales leads from Derby Agency LLC, a new company Alliance has partnered with to grow its sales. Alliance Cost Containment now has 12 employees in Louisville, and officials plan to add four or five over the next few weeks, Miles Lee said. He declined to reveal revenue figures for the company but said it is growing.

Much of the revenue growth is coming from a change in sales strategy implemented a year ago, Lee said. Whereas the company once worked exclusively through franchises, it now sells its services directly in cities where it doesn't have a franchise, he said.

He expects that the company will grow even more because of the partnership with Derby Agency.
