Q S R International Named Top Master Franchisee For Quiznos

QSR International S.A. Master Franchisee for the Quiznos Brand in Central and South America and the Caribbean has been named International Master Franchisee of the Year at the most recent "Better Than Ever" Quiznos Convention held in Las Vegas.

The award is given annually to the most aggressive Quiznos Franchisee Group that expresses top leadership, operational excellence, product innovation, developmental growth, high regional sales and market sustainability.

"There are many reasons for the success of QSR International. It starts with the leadership of the group setting realistic goals and helping their executives reach them. We at Quiznos are proud to have Richard Eisenberg and Jed Silver as our Master Franchisees and we look forward to a great future," said Lee Vala, chief development officer, Quiznos International.

Just prior to being named International Master Franchisee of the Year, QSR International signed a 5-unit development agreement with Apolo Import S.A. for the country of Paraguay. Apolo Import S.A., managed by Emerson Chemin, founder and president, and Matheus Chemin, vice president of Operations, has a variety of holdings in excess of $100 million in annual revenues in both Paraguay and Brazil.

The opening in Paraguay will mark the 15th country for Quiznos by QSR International.

Also, on May 9, QSR International's area developer in Guyana, Camex Inc., is scheduled to open it first restaurant in that nation's capital, Georgetown.

So far this year, QSR International has opened four new restaurants, in Aruba, Costa Rica, Panama and Venezuela. The company is currently seeking developers for Quiznos in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia, and Trinidad and Tobago, among others.
