It's a move that's paid off for Eimers, too.
He was named the 2009 Rookie of the Year and was among the top 10 percent of franchisees who earned Top Gun designation, which recognizes outstanding sales, manpower growth, personal growth and franchise development for the previous calendar year.
The American Red Cross Question: What do you like about your job? Answer: I love meeting new people and making them happy with the jobs that we do for them. We do a variety of work. We're different from any other glass shop -- we do the residential, the auto and the commercial.
Q: Why did you decide to start your own business? A: I wanted to do things right without having somebody to tell me to do it their way.
Q: What place do you want to travel to before you die? A: Germany.
Q: Why is that? A: I went there for Guards, and I'd like to go back. It's a beautiful country.
Q: Any particular area? A: Not so much, just to see the castles again.
Q: What do you do for fun? A: Go boating and spend time with the family and hunting.
Q: How long were you in the National Guard? A: Six years.
Q: Did that teach you anything to prepare you to be a business owner? A: One thing was, it made me realize to treat people the way I'd want to be treated, and it made me become a leader.
Q: Can you explain that? A: I was a class leader in charge of the troops while I was in the Guard, so I was in a leadership position. With that, I learned how to lead multiple people.
Q: If you could have any type of super power, what would it be? A: To be able to read a customer and what they want and how we can satisfy their wants.
