With more than 20 years' experience in franchise and retail management � and a member of True Value Company since 2000 � Burger currently operates five businesses in Maine: Campbell's True Value and Campbell's True Value Building Supply, both in Madison; Agway True Value in Winslow; and Agway Home and Garden Showplaces in Skowhegan and Farmingdale.

Burger began his professional career in 1986 with TCBY Enterprises, Inc., as the youngest franchisee in the company's history. He owned and operated four TCBY units until 1994, when he was hired by TCBY corporate to serve as a franchise consultant and division manager for 68 units within the New England division. Subsequently promoted to regional vice president of operations for the Western region, Burger managed the development and construction process for 86 new TCBY locations and created a product cost analysis program, which TCBY adopted and made proprietary. Before joining True Value Company, Mr. Burger served as district manager for Starbucks Coffee Company in San Francisco. His board experience includes service as chairman of the business relations advisory committee for the Town of Blacksburg (Va.), as director for the Greater Blacksburg Chamber of Commerce, and in positions on advisory boards for Agway Dealer Stores and TCBY Association Franchisees. Burger earned a bachelor's degree in English with a concentration in business from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Blacksburg, and currently resides in Oakland, Maine.
