In 2000, Annette returned to Canada with a dream to start her own company - to build a business that fit her passion and her life - to create a brand that would bring people together in a unique and meaningful way, inspiring creativity and personal expression, nurturing together-time and promoting a sense of pride and accomplishment.
Annette is the founder of Crock A Doodle Inc, a pottery painting franchise program that is growing across Canada. Crock A Doodle's immediate success is credited to Annette's creative marketing expertise and the fact that the program is a lifestyle-friendly business opportunity for women seeking better work/life balance. Annette lives in Flamborough, Ontario with her husband and three children.
Community Involvement: In her work with Crock A Doodle, Annette has supported a wide variety of local causes including McMaster Children's Hospital, the Good Shepherd Centres and the Flamborough YMCA and on a national basis the business supports the Canadian Women's Foundation.
On a personal level, Annette is a member of the Board for the Hamilton Children's Choir and is a member of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce.
In May 2006, Annette was honoured with the Hamilton Women of Distinction Award for Arts and Creative Energy, recognizing her work in promoting personal expression and creativity in women. Annette has enjoyed numerous media appearances, including television interviews on CHTV and CKCO and articles in SOHO Small Business Report magazine, the Hamilton Spectator and Burlington Post newspapers. She is a sought-after speaker on the topic of women entrepreneurship.
