Settle Inn Names Three Executives To New Posts

Settle Inn LLC & GuestHouse LLC, a leading national hospitality company with franchise operations in 26 states and China, has announced the appointment of three new executives. Ron Marcou has been named Senior Vice President of operations, Daniel Magee has been named southeast Regional Director of Franchise Sales and Development, and Bill Snyder has been named southwest Regional Director of Franchise Sales and Development. All three executives will serve Settle Inn and its subsidiary, GuestHouse International.

"Each has a proven record of achievement in the hospitality industry and we expect their respective leadership to be an integral part of our organization." As senior vice president of operations for Settle Inn and GuestHouse, Marcou will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of Settle Inn and GuestHouse properties. Marcou has over 35 years in the hotel and real estate development industries. Marcou began his hospitality career in the 1960's with the Marcus Corporation (Milwaukee WS) at the Pfister Hotel on their management training program. Thirty years later he became a franchisee with the Marcus Corporation's Baymont flag in MA and MS. Prior to 9-11 Marcou owned or operated 20 various franchised hotels as Shoney's Inns, Baymont Inn & Suites, Microtel and Comfort Suites located in twelve states and served as senior vice president of hotel operations for the Delta Queen Steamboat Company. His most recent post was as Vice President of Hotel Operations for ShoLodge, Inc. Ron and his wife, Fran, own and operate the 185 room GuestHouse International Inn & Suites located adjacent to the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN.

Magee will be based in Marietta, Ga. and will be responsible for managing brand growth and development in Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Mississippi. With over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Magee possesses an extensive and varied background in the areas of management, operations and development. He has held previous corporate positions with Starwood Hotels, Bass Hotels and Ramada Hotels.

Snyder's territory will include Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana and Arkansas. Snyder comes to GuestHouse with many years of experience. Before joining GuestHouse he was regional director of sales for Cendant. Prior to that, Snyder spent a significant amount of time at Nissan Diesel America holding positions such as senior vice president of sales & marketing, vice president of sales, regional and district sales manager.

In December 2006, Settle Inn LLC purchased GuestHouse International Inns, Hotels & Suites, a leading upper-economy brand of more than 70 franchisees with operations in 22 states and China, from Sholodge, Inc. The purchase included absorbing the majority of existing employees of the GuestHouse International franchise system.

Settle Inn and Settle Inn & Suites are hotel brands designed for hoteliers by hoteliers. The Company is based in Aberdeen, South Dakota, and currently has seven locations in Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota and Wisconsin.
