Stovold Family Named Top 2006 Franchisee By Koa

It was quite a week for the Stovold family, owners of the Toronto North/Cookstown, Ontario KOA Campground.

First, Jeff Stovold was selected by KOA's CEO, Jim Rogers, to serve as master of ceremonies for KOA's annual International Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada during the week of November 13-18.

Next came the announcement that Jeff, wife Cathy and their campground manager, Sandra Linkletter, had been selected as the 2006 KOA Franchisee of the Year. That's quite an honor, considering KOA has nearly 450 campgrounds covering the entire United States and Canada.

And finally, Jeff's peers elected him to lead the KOA Owners Association as its new president during the closing day of the convention.

"It's been quite a week," Jeff said after his election Saturday, Nov. 18. "To be honored as the top franchisee, and then to be elected president of the Owners Association . . . Wow!" KOA President Shane Ott said the Stovold family runs a great KOA campground, and have embraced KOA's high standards for customer service and always supports their fellow owners.

"It's just fantastic to be able to honor the Stovolds," Ott said. "They are the best of the best in the camping industry."
