Entrepreneur Burns a Pathway into Markets Throughout the U.S.

College Nannies & Tutors Development (CNTD), the Minnesota-based nanny placement and employment franchise, today announced its plans to expand its breadth of services to six new U.S. markets in 2006. Entrepreneur Magazine cites: "Franchises that specialize in top-quality childcare, enrichment programs, children's fitness and other child-related services should continue to experience profitability into the foreseeable future." As a result, CNTD will sell franchise operations during 2006 in Boston, Chicago, Denver, Milwaukee, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., seeking out potential business owners who want to see a positive impact on families as a result of their work. The 27 percent growth in children's services over the past three years is a trend CNTD president and CEO, Joseph Keeley, sees as an increased opportunity for entrepreneurs to fulfill the need parents have to employ a variety of daycare options for their children.

Keeley's solution: offer two distinct franchise concepts from which business owners can choose: 1) nanny/childcare; and 2) tutor/education.

"We live in an age when dual-income families are increasingly the norm, and parents require options for childcare while they maintain their careers," said Keeley, who spent summers during his college years as a nanny. "That's the niche College Nannies & Tutors fills: an alternative to the Mary Poppins-type, live-in nanny familiar to most of us. Our services meet the needs of parents, offer flexibility and, most importantly, we provide a complete resource for children from diapers through high school." Keeley has experienced success in his home market of metropolitan Minneapolis/St. Paul as well as in Phoenix, and CNTD has been approved by state regulatory commissions to operate franchises in 30 additional states. Each franchise operation is offered the benefit of proprietary technology and owner support as well as marketing and advertising.

About College Nannies & Tutors Founded in 2001 by Joseph Keeley, recipient of the 2003 Global Student Entrepreneur of the Year Award, College Nannies & Tutors Development is based in metropolitan Minneapolis, Minnesota and offers two distinct franchising concepts to independent operators and owners: nontraditional child care; and supplemental educational services.
